Author Guidelines

Article for Jurnal Penelitian Komunikasi (JPK) should be submitted through eJournal JPK only, not by email. Information on your submission progress or revision notification will be sent to author’s registered email address. Following the submission, revisions also must be returned to editorial through eJournal JPK and not by email.

Online article submission instructions for author:

  1. The author is required to register (create an account) first on eJournal JPK.
  2. Registered authors should then log on to eJournal JPK.
  3. From the author’s home page, new article submission can be started in 5 (five) steps: (1) Start the submission; (2) Upload submission; (3) Enter metadata; (4) Upload supplementary files; (5) Confirmation.

Pengiriman naskah Jurnal Penelitian Komunikasi (JPK) dilakukan melalui eJournal JPK dan tidak melalui email. Untuk informasi/pemberitahuan revisi, diterima atau ditolaknya naskah, redaksi akan mengirimkan email kepada penulis sesuai dengan email yang didaftarkan/email dari penulis melalui OJS. Selanjutnya, hasil perbaikan naskah dari redaksi dan mitra bestari harus diserahkan kembali oleh penulis ke redaksi melalui eJournal JPK dan tidak melalui email.

Petunjuk untuk Penulis untuk penyerahan naskah online:

  1. Penulis diwajibkan mendaftar (membuat akun) eJournal JPK.
  2. Penulis yang telah terdaftar selanjutnya login pada eJournal JPK.
  3. Pada laman beranda penulis, dapat memulai penyerahan naskah baru yang melalui 5 langkah tahapan: (1) Mulai penyerahan naskah; (2) Pengunggahan naskah; (3) Pengisian metadata; (4) Unggah file tambahan; (5) Konfirmasi.

Daftar pustaka dapat menggunakan citation and reference manager seperti: Zotero atau Mendeley mengacu pada Standard Harvard.


Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submitted article has not been previously published, or under the consideration by other journals (or no explanations given in the comment to editor).

    Penyerahan belum diterbitkan sebelumnya, atau sedang dalam pertimbangan jurnal lain (atau sebuah penjelasan belum disediakan dalam komentar kepada editor).

  • The content is original or not containing: a) fabrication; b) falsification; c) plagiarism; d) duplication; e) fragmentation; and f) copyright infringement of data/content.

    Isinya asli atau bebas dari: a) fabrikasi; b) falsifikasi; c) plagiasi; d) duplikasi; e) fragmentasi/salami; f) pelanggaran hak cipta data/isi.

  • Should the content acquired through scientific meetings, it is required to be valid and completely free from: a) made-up scientific meeting; and b) unattended scientific meeting.

    Perolehannya bila melalui pertemuan ilmiah benar atau bebas dari: a) rekayasa pertemuan ilmiah; dan b) pertemuan ilmiah yang tidak dihadiri.

  • Fill and mail the Copyright Transfer paper to editorial office. The file can be downloaded in Copyright Transfer.

    Mengisi dan mengirimkan dokumen Copyright Transfer ke Dewan Redaksi.  Berkas dapat diunduh di Copyright Transfer.

  • Fill and mail the Ethical Statement paper to editorial office. The file can be downloaded in Ethical Statement.

    Mengisi dan mengirimkan dokumen Ethical Statement ke Dewan Redaksi.  Berkas dapat diunduh di Ethical Statement.

  • Uploaded file should comply to the rules of writing defined in the Article Writing Guideline, and using the template provided in Journal Template.

    Naskah yang diunggah harus memenuhi persyaratan penulisan yang disebutkan dalam Petunjuk Penulisan Naskah, dan menggunakan template yang disediakan pada Template Jurnal.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
  2. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.
  3. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work (See The Effect of Open Access).
